We receive many questions about the detail differences in our silhouette charms, so today we’re exploring the sizing differences between our most popular piece, the Classic Silhouette Charm Necklace, and what this means to you when building your heirloom jewelry collection.

If you’ve seen our Silhouette Charms, whether on Instagram or our website, you’ll notice we offer three sizes: Tiny, Medium, and Large. Depending on your style and priorities, one size may be a better fit for you than the others. The biggest difference between the sizes is the level of detail we are able to capture, such as tiny curls and other unique characteristics of your loved one. Regardless of the size you choose, each silhouette charm is thoughtfully designed and beautifully crafted to provide you with a cherished piece of jewelry to honor your story and keep your loved ones close to your heart. 

All Classic Silhouette Charm Necklaces are available in sterling silver and 14K solid yellow, rose, and white gold, with 14K yellow gold being our most popular metal choice.

Tiny

This silhouette makes a wonderful heirloom gift for mom. The smallest charms we offer, our Tiny Silhouette Charms are designed to be worn daily. Ideal for the mom who prefers daintier jewelry, either worn on its own or layered with other necklaces. 

Due to the charm’s size, some of the facial features and hair details may be less noticeable and not as clear compared to the actual silhouette portrait proof you will receive. If this is an issue for you, please scroll down to see if the Medium or Large Charms would better fit your vision of your custom heirloom piece.

Charm Size: approx. 3/8 inch

Chain Size: choose between 16, 18, 20 or 24 inch cable 1 mm chain. This is the classic chain we use on all necklaces.

Engravable with up to 3 characters

 

Medium

Our most popular charm size, Medium Silhouette Charms beautifully capture the tiny curls and wisps of hair you hold so dear. We love the idea of gifting this size charm to grandma so she can keep all of her grandchildren and their individual features close to her heart.

Medium is our best-selling size due to its layer-friendly design with even more details shining through.

Chain Size: choose between 18 inches long (silver is 16+2 inch extension), 20 and 24 inches

Separation beads are optional but recommended for necklaces with multiple charms.

Customers can choose to order the charms loose or with chains.

Please note, we no longer include eyelashes on our jewelry pieces.
