We offer a wide range of custom silhouette products—from prints to jewelry—perfect for gifting or keeping.
Choose from our existing silhouette options (where available) or request a custom design using your own photos.
Each custom silhouette requires a one-time design fee. Please note: each individual (person or pet) counts as one silhouette. For example, a family of four will need four silhouettes. Use this as a guide when selecting quantities for your order.
Snap Your Photo
Once you have selected your desired product, and chosen the silhouette preference "Custom From My Photos", you can upload your photo/s right on the order form. We have curated a useful list of tips below for taking the best photos. After all, the final silhouette is only as good as the photos you're able to provide!
If for some reason you aren't able to upload photos while filling out your order, you can always email them to us at orders@vanachuppstudio.com. Unsure if your photos will work? Reach out to us before placing your order for suggestions.
Tips for the Perfect Silhouette
- Place the subject in front of a well-lit background, facing left or right.
- Only one side of the face should be visible, with the entire head in frame.
- A relaxed expression helps capture facial features (lashes, nose, lips) more naturally.
- Phone photos work great—just use good lighting, ideally during the day.
- For groups, take individual photos.
- Take the photo straight on, at eye level, from 2–4 feet away. Avoid angles from above or below.
- If the subject has long hair (past the shoulders), tie it up—braids, buns, and ponytails add charm and personality to the silhouette!
Babies:
Try photographing while they’re asleep. Hold the camera directly above, capturing only one side of the face.
Full-Body Silhouettes:
Take photos of the subject standing, walking toward, or away from the camera.
Pets:
Open mouths and hanging tongues can be cute, but may not create the best silhouette—totally up to you!
Proof & Production Timeline
You’ll receive a digital proof via email within 7–10 business days (up to 14 during peak holiday seasons). Review it carefully—engraving details, custom jumprings, and charm placement will appear as shown. Separation beads are not included in proofs.
Once approved, production begins. Please allow 3–4 weeks for custom orders to arrive after approval.

We now offer the option to purchase the Custom Digital Silhouette before you order. This is a great way to make sure your custom silhouette is on file when you or a loved one is ready to order. Husbands love this option as it takes the guess work out of the process!
