You may bring in (or mail to us) any unwanted gold jewelry - whether broken, outdated, or a VCS piece you'd like to upgrade. We'll test, weigh the pieces and give you a VCS store gift card worth 85% of the value. You can use the gift card towards something from our collection or a custom project with us.
How to Get started
Mail in Your Gold Scrap
If you're not local to Richmond, you may mail your gold scrap by following these simple steps.
Step One
Initial Consultation
Complete the Gold Trade-In Request form below with your contact information, and images of the gold pieces you're sending it. You will receive a follow up email with next steps.
Step Two
Mail your package
Ship your items to us via UPS insuring your package to your comfort level. Once your package is received, you will notify you via email and prepare the estimate valued at the day's market rate. Please note, this process can take 5-7 business days.
Step Three
Approve quote & receive credit
A final quote will be sent to you via email and once approved, we will email you the store credit code. From there, you can start shopping. Credit is only valid on VCS pieces or custom projects, you will not be sent a check.
FAQs
We offer 85% of your gold's scrap value back to you in the form of store credit. The value depends on the day's gold market price. We take in consideration the total weight (measured in grams or pennyweight) and the karat purity of your gold.
We accept 10-24K solid gold - including broken, unwanted pieces you no longer have use for or are looking to scrap towards a new piece with us.
We do not give credit for any mounted diamonds or gemstones. We can remove them (there might be a fee associated with it) and send them back to you or keep them for future projects you might want to do with us.
We do not have a minimum and accept all quantities.
