The news ….

Many of you had asked what the news was…most of you thought we had some pregnancy news to share. Unfortunately, not! The good Lord knows how much I have been praying for this to happen and at times patience has reached its limits. We feel blessed to have Niko and at 4 1/2 years old he’s been asking a lot of questions, and one very specific “am I ever going to have a brother?” My heart aches at the unknown….

The news I was referring to is something I have been working on for a while now – a book, dear friends. You heard that right! The amazing Kate Woodrow of Chronicle Books (San Francisco) approached me last year asking if I would be interested to work on a book with them. I had never imagined I would be working on a book especially with such a prestigious publishing company, and until the contract was finalized I was still half dreaming. The whole process has been very rewarding and I couldn’t have asked for a better challenge and a more incredible team of people to work with. What’s the book about? You guessed it…Silhouettes! I wish I could share some images but since we’re not in publication yet, you’ll have to wait a few more months. I must say though, it feels so good to have put the deadlines behind. Look for the book in your local bookstores this Fall. Goodness, it feels surreal saying that!

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who have been giving me so much support over the last couple of years. Many of you I have met through the blogging world, and a few of you I have had to pleasure to get to know in person. You are wonderful and so kind for listening and encouraging my efforts with starting a home based business while being a mommy. Thank you, guys!
