Photobucket

Hello!
It’s me Callie. Finally, I get to show you my garden. It’s a work in progress, meaning it still has a lot of work to be done! but it is getting there!!

As you can see from the before image: weeds and spindly peonies!!  After pulling tons of weeds, I fed the peonies bone meal {my dog went crazy at the smell, it was really hard to keep her away!!}  Added the black edging, worked the soil and added top soil. Then I planted the English Daisies. They are very sweet and pretty! The flower of the fairies! When I was finished, I threw on mulch!!! Coco bean hulls!  What more could a girl ask for; chocolate and flowers!!

This is a view toward the house, Miss Sassy playing in the grass!

Here is the bird bath my mum gave me last year with the little cafe table and chairs! Sassy thinks the bird bath is her drinking bowl! silly pup!  Please note the chair has no cushion…. That is because the nasty little beasties stole my cushion! Yes, I am talking about those pesky squirrels! They made off with one cushion and shredded the other one to bits!!

Here is a close up of my tomato plants. They are doing fantastic. Looks like I will be set for the summer.  I have 24 plants at the moment!

Here in the last images is the herb garden area, sage with purple flowers and oregano with the white on the bottom right and in the back is a rose bush with over 40 buds and flowers on it!! It’s a climber so I need to get a cool trellis to grown up.

Well, this is my garden thus far.   Work still needs to be done but that’s okay, I am enjoying every moment, tending and pruning and weeding….. because it is mine!
Do you like to garden?

See you next week with “Bathroom Inspiration”
