It’s the Little Things | Guest post by Nathaniel

I love the design process – meeting with clients, discussing their hopes and dreams, sketching and drawing and modeling the building, figuring out the technical details, and everything else that comes before moving day. The joy of building a new house occurs at all levels. While seeing the walls go up is certainly exciting, I must be honest and admit that I love seeing all the furnishings and decor come into place most of all. If I’ve done my job properly, the smallest details reflect the desires of the homeowner. Here are a few vignettes of recent favorite projects. Each one reflects a different personality and aesthetic viewpoint, and most importantly, helps create a sense of “home” for the occupants. What describes your sense of home?
