All our custom jewelry pieces featuring silhouettes or engravings are made to order by our team in partnership with master jewelers in New York City. Because of the custom process, each piece is one-of-a-kind and will be unique to you. The products pictures here, are example of the product you will receive.
You can choose from existing stock silhouettes or have a custom silhouette drawn from your photos (we specialize on this!) - as of 2026 we no longer charge the one time fee for creating the custom silhouette from your photo.
All custom pieces are started as soon as your order is received. Every custom order receives a digital proof to review, nothing is finalized without your approval. Production timeline ranges between 4-6 weeks depending on the product. If you have questions, reach out to us prior to ordering.
Please note: each individual (person or pet) counts as one silhouette. For example, a family of four will need four silhouettes. Use this as a guide when selecting quantities for your order.
- Make sure the handwriting is clear and, if possible, on a white paper. The clearer the photo, the better we can trace the handwriting which produces the best result.
- If handwriting is on a messy paper, try tracing it to give us a clear image.
- If having your kid write a note or draw a picture, marker works great!
- Tiny: A single word works best; Medium: 10 characters max, dependent on writing; Large: 20 characters max, dependent on writing
Custom products like silhouette charms, necklaces, bracelets, lockets, ornaments and all engravable medallions take a total of 4-6 weeks turnaround as each piece is made specifically for you.
Once design has been approved, production begins. Please allow 2–3 weeks for most custom orders to arrive after approval. Some products have a longer turnaround, please note when purchasing.

If your purchase doesn't meet your expectations, you can return it within 5 business days of receiving it for a refund, store credit or exchange.
To be eligible for an exchange, the item must be unused and in its original packaging. Custom Products with custom silhouettes, birthstones or custom engraving or discounted products are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. To initiate a return, email us at info@vanachuppstudio.com and we will provide a prepaid return shipping label. Approval via email is mandatory for returns to be accepted. Kindly be advised that return shipping charges will be deducted from your refund.
- $50 for under $2000
- $100 for orders between $2000-$1000
- $250 for orders over $1000
