John Andrew’s Baptism

Last Sunday we celebrated our little John’s holy baptism. What a special day that was for our family! Friends and family offered their humbled prayers as our little boy became a solder in Christ and began his christian journey.

Here are some picture from the baptism.

This was the invitation we sent out. I wanted to create something elegant with serene colors. If you know me in person, you know how much I love these colors – I even dress John in neutrals and light colors. They make his sweet features stand out more:)

John’s Godmother, Katerina, is the sweetest person. She already loves John so much! Here she’s holding him as she is saying the prayers on his behalf. John was cracking a smile and looking at Nikolas.

This was the most beautiful part (and the most emotional one for me) of the baptism. John is “dumped” in the baptismal font and baptized in the name of the Father, and the Son and of the Holy Spirit. This marks a new beginning in his life with Christ in his heart.

Our newly illuminated John doing his first walk as a baptized christian with his loving Godmother, Katerina!

John receiving Holy Communion for the very first time. This picture is so precious in that their faces are illumined by the light – God’s touch on this special moment.

Big brother Nikolas holding the candles – and doing a great job at it too! Ok wait a minute…when did this boy of mine got so big?

In front of the icon of Panagia (Mother of God) – words can not describe how grateful we are and how humbled we feel to have been given such a blessing – our dear John!

The dessert table (I wish I had more pictures of it) party favors and cross pins. I used fresh hydrangeas and mason jars as center pieces. They were simple and elegant.

Cutting the cake – a better picture of the dessert table.

Here is the four of us. God bless you sweet John! May you continue to grow in Christ and love him with all your heart! We’re here to guide you through every step of the way.

All pictures were taken by my dear friend Leanne. She did an incredible job capturing every special moment. I couldn’t have asked for a better gift! Thanks Leanne!
